philosophia: the love of truth
this blog is for anyone who likes to think.
philosophy has existed for as long as people have. why are we here? are we meaningless? what is truth? what is love and what is friendship? is the universe pure chaos — and will it end? what is reality? does fate exist? is there such a thing as a god, and if there is, how can we reconcile his generally favorable image with such suffering? is man the ruler of the universe or an insignificant organic life form barely able to marvel at the expanse around him? is there such a thing as evil? are morals subjective? does free will exist, or is it an illusion? is life random? what happens at death? does the soul exist outside of our bodies, or at all? can we defeat death, or will it one day claim everything? these are just a few questions that many great minds (and not-so-great) have sought to answer.
here i’ll post the ideas and words of many different thinkers. hopefully they’ll interest you as much as they do me.
